Salary: $20.75- $32.25SUMMARYProvides fast, friendly helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper Customers. Responsible for managing the grocery operations of the store to include the achievement of financial targets, order fulfillment, sanitation measures and inventory control of nonperishable merchandise. The goal is to promote an optimal opportunity for sales. Oversees Grocery personnel. Responsible for overseeing the entire store operation when scheduled.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Does not supervise associates on a regular basis.Consistently work within to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.Responsible for proper handling and merchandising of all grocery products according to company policy.Display and express a complete knowledge of all grocery products to the customer.Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.Maintains a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.Manage the grocery operation of a retail unit: dry grocery, dairy, frozen food and DSD.Grocery Manager is responsible for the overall operation of GM and HBC departments in store volumes that do not warrant a GM Manager. This includes all financials and merchandising programs within corporate standards.Responsible for controlling the budgeting and financial aspects of the Grocery department. (i.e.: budgeted sales, gross margin, shrink levels, CTO and payroll).Coordinate the merchandising of all Grocery/General Merchandise products.Ensure that the Grocery Department is well stocked and presented within all corporate standards.Responsible for managing the total store operation in the absence of the Store Manager and Co-Manager.Manage associates within the department by ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to with regard to Grocery operations.Responsible for ensuring adherence to all merchandising standards relating to grocery, dairy and frozen food products.Responsible for training and developing all associates within the Grocery department.Ensure that all sanitation and safety policies are adhered to within Grocery/General Merchandise department.Ensure that all associates adhere to corporate and state pricing procedures.Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.Work closely with other Department managers in displaying merchandise.Work with other department managers to meet delivery schedules.Responsible for overseeing the backroom area which includes all warehouse and vendor merchandise.Ensure all authorized items are available in every set.Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 18 years of age.
